El segundo album de Gafufa es una mirada introspectiva a la fragilidad de nuestro cuerpo y mente, al poder curativo que tiene la música y a la forma en que las relaciones entre seres humanos nos mantienen vivos. Sin lugar a dudas, en “Gafufa Dos” hay rastros de amores perdidos, de las dificultades y libertades de envejecer, y de la desesperación de vivir ocultando todos estos sentimientos en el mundo caótico actual.

Born out of a bass riff in a jam session, “Ride On” is a call for perseverance, for never giving up when facing the greatest challenges. “Ride On” was written with a deep sense of singing to the desperate need of persistence in the slow process of healing body and mind after a traumatic event.

De una tarde envuelta en la incertidumbre y la ansiedad de haber perdido un amigo, nace “Andy”. La impotencia y el vacío concibe un canción muy reveladora para una banda de tres amigos cercanos que en un instante se encuentran sin su bajista, quien pasaba por momentos delicados.

“Body” is a wrenching song written from the essence of our human nature. Only when your body fails, you come to realize how much you depend on it. “Body” was born from a few lines that found themselves to an emotional jam session that reunited the band for the first time after our bass player’s difficult absence. The song conveys one’s deepest fear after a health trauma. The fear of not being able to live a normal, enjoyable life unless our body heals, wakes up, and sets us free to continue walking through life again.

Dystopia reminds us of the significance of nurturing our most intimates relationships The ones we can always fall back on. De una epifanía nació la introspectiva letra de “Recuerda”. “Recuerda” narra la intimidad de un consejo dirigido al niño que alguna vez fuimos, en una situación que, aunque imposible, sosiega la ansiedad de los recuerdos difíciles que preferimos dejar en el olvido.
